Today, I started thinking about all the things that God has blessed me with.  I realized that I have taken for granted much of what He has given me.  In my Sunday school lesson today we talked about prayer and asking God for what we want.  This story was told today in example and I think that it is fitting:

A man died and went to heaven.  We he got to heaven and stood in front of Jesus, he saw many people walking out of a room and looking very depressed.  The man then proceeded to ask Jesus why those people were upset.  Jesus said that He would take the man into the room.  When the man got into the room, he saw millions of different gifts on shelves.  The man asked Jesus what they were and Jesus replied by saying that these were all the gifts that Jesus had for the man if he had just asked.

I thought about that story a lot today.  I don't really know if that is going to happen in heaven but I think it is more of a principle. God says He will grant us the desires of our heart if we ask.  Sometimes I feel so selfish for asking God for all that I want.  I just feel so bad since Jesus died on the cross for my sins.  I don't want to feel ungrateful for what He has already done.  But, I have to remember that God will grant those things that are His will for my life.  So I can ask for anything and everything but, I can't be upset if God doesn't give them to me.  If anyone has any thoughts on what I just wrote please comment.  I am always open to hear what others think and believe.

Today was another great day in Fl.  The weather has finally gotten a little cooler.  It feels really good.

Work was stressful as usual. We had to work through lunch to get our work done.  For some reason the gov't likes to have all their orders and information done on time.  They can be real jerks sometimes.  You gotta deal with it though and move past it.  On a better note, my co-worker is finally starting to ask questions about God.  He made a comment today about how I am one the first Christians that have ever listened to what he had to say.  How sad is that?  That was really embarassing to hear.  He said that he also found it very cool that I would get a tattoo that has something to do with my faith.  He said that I must have a lot of faith to get a tattoo like that.  I will continue to pray for him and anyone else who reads this.  Pray for Glen and also for me that I can be a shining light of God's love to him.  And that he will find Jesus, if not through me but through someone else.  I will just continue to let God use me to reach Glen.

I forgot to write this in my last post.

I got a tattoo on Fri. night.  I may have had a friend there to hold my hand , but it was great anyways.  It is the scripture Hebrews 13:5b.

"He will never leave you, nor forsake you."

Man I love God's promises.  I will have a picture to post later.

God be with our country in this time of need.  Help those people to get out and vote.  God we need your hand in this whole process.  Put the leader in place that will lead our country out of this time and that will put You back in Your rightful place as leader of our country.  That is what I want and what we as a country need.

I just love all the stuff on the election tonight.  Don't get me wrong, I want to know what is going on in my country.  I voted and I have prayed for weeks about God's will in this country.  I just don't like all the stuff on the television.  Every station is saying something different and I don't seem to get a straight story from anyone.  And to make matters worse, every station seems biased.  I don't really know what to believe.

I know that God is in control. If Bush is the "chosen" one so be it.  And if Kerry is the "one", God help us. (dont mean to be biased, but come on people.)  I just have to pray that the one God wants for this country is chosen.  And then once that is done, I have to support that person.

Final thought.  Congrats to Craig and the rest of his team on a victory tonight.  Good luck in the game on Sunday.  I will be rootin' for you.

Goodnight
